Do You Receive a Better Prospect of Winning the Lotto Draw if You Subscribe to an eLottery Syndicate or Should You Rely on Your Individual Lucky Numbers?

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

A Huge amount of players each week decide to use identical lottery numbers for their entries; quite often these are memorable dates, which in many countries can only cover part of any possible lotto selections.

Is it Possible to decrypt the code implementing your own particular strategy or trust on an e-lottery syndicate to choose them for you? We unrealistically believe that if we don’t do something or do it the wrong way that something bad may happen, in that case; if we miss doing our numbers they are sure to come up!

Being the person to pick the winning lotto numbers is naturally something each and every committed player wants to do and as human beings, we possess an acquired bias against anything that’s random, we like some form of control and rules that make sense to us.

So your number comes up more frequently; why should it come up again? It’s impossible to pluck any set of lotto numbers that are more or less likely to win. Lotteries are a game of pure chance and each and every lottery number drawn is merely at random. So the bottom line is – no one number is more random than the next.

If you take a look at the chances of probability, as one lottery number is picked the likelihood of your selected number going to be drawn afterwards is slightly increased purely because the potential selection is lessened.

Using the same lotto numbers will mean you would have to play 135,000 times to even get an evens chance of winning. Unluckily, to win the lottery jackpot you will just have approximately a 1 in 14 million chance of being prosperous; nevertheless we all reckon it could be us. Does that sound like a good chance; would you be luckier joining a lottery syndicate?

If you decide on the same numbers each week, remember they are nevertheless hit-and-miss lottery numbers and you stand just as much a prospect of winning with those same lottery numbers as with a lucky dip selection. Still, if you use birthday numbers in a lottery draw your chances of winning the jackpot still stay the same but also your individual prospect of keeping the lottery jackpot to yourself is significantly reduced because so many other players employ birthday numbers in their selections.

Looking after Your Childrens Financial Interest

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

In todays society where focus is on entrepreneurial spirit and innovative ways to make money, it’s very easy for your children to grow up becoming overly materialistic. How one negates to some extent the pressures of society whilst nurturing a drive to succeed and innovate in your little ones, is a challenge for every parent and one perhaps the parents of Peter Sutherland got right.

One of the most important lessons is teaching your kids the value of money so they don’t ever take things for granted. This can be much harder for children growing up in wealthy families. Quite often you discover it is the young ones who have grown up with very little are those that which have the largest drive to be successful. Those children which are given a modicum of responsibility at a young age to deal with their own finances are often much better at looking after their finances when they are older.

One useful strategy in teaching your offspring about money is the importance of investing your money wisely and not just spending it, this is has never been so important as in the current financial climate. Making your kids learn how to invest their savings wisely by showing them the long term benefits, is to provide them with separate piggy banks to put their allowance in. As well as this if you reward such savings behavior this will further encourage this kind of behavior, giving your little oneswith a reason to save more rather than try and pursue short term material gain.

Another brilliant lesson you should teach your kids at a young age is to be able to recognize the whole host of retail and marketing tricks designed to get them to part with their allowance or hard cash. If they have this instilled into them at an early age then they will be much less likely to come a cropper of such tricks in later life and become heavily indebted. If you can manage to get them excited about the financial markets global finance, and understand the dynamics of international economics this will also serve them in good stead as they grow older. It is those children who take a keen interest in and can make sense of how the globalised world works, who will be able to see any opportunities which may present themselves in the future.

Your biggest concern as a parent is to make sure these values are all driven into your kids from an early age so they are less likely to fall into bankruptcy or financial turmoil when they venture out in the world on their own.

Everything College Students Should Know about Health Insurance Policies

Sunday, May 31st, 2009

One of the things often toward the very bottom of the list whilst budgeting for a college education is medical insurance for college students. At that age, the last thing on any student’s mind is health insurance. As a student in your twenties you will believe that you will live forever and you will never suffer from illness.

Alas, no matter how healthy a person may appear, this is no guarantee of their continuing good health. An appropriate student health insurance policy is not a great idea, it’s absolutely essential.

For those students who are included in their parent’s insurance policy, nearly all of them should cover a student until they reach twenty three. For anyone who doesn’t currently have health coverage via a parent’s plan, a necessary part in budgeting for going to school must be obtaining an inexpensive medical insurance plan. So what is important in health insurance designed specifically for students? Deductibles: It is a yearly sum you must pay before the medical benefits starting, comparable to an auto deductible. For example, should your deductible be 500 dollars, five hundred dollars must be paid prior to getting any payment connected with your insurance.

So what is meant by the term co-pay? Once you have paid the deductible, usually for every trip to the doctor, medicinal drug, and operation you’ll need to contribute a pre-determined portion of the cost. That, succinctly is co-pay. What will your medical insurance pay for? Numerous plans include Health Maintenance Organization or Partnership for Prescription Assistance (PPA). Basically this can mean certain doctors may possibly not be included in your authorized health providers or not be included by a health insurance plan. Virtually all plans include a listing of approved professionals, so read that before you take out a health policy for students.

What is catastrophic coverage? Restrictions are common in medical insurance for students particularly concerning terminal illness, and for most medical insurance policies for students, it’s commonly less than any standard insurance plan.

So what about the limits? Restrictions are frequent in many college student medical insurance policies. Be sure to look over your insurance policy to learn what is actually covered. Keep all your health insurance papers safe at all times. It is not just not possible to predict an accident or illness, but they are unfortunately likely to happen when it is least expected. Familiarise yourself with the parameters of your student medical insurance plan even if you are covered by your parent’s policy.

My Shiny New Home Alarm Systems

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

I have been surfing for a security systems for 10 days now and I finally stumbled into a home alarm device that seems to fit my bungelow, my husband and kids and our lifestyle.

We explored a lot of different alarm companies to learn the cheapest selection as opposed to the most expensive choice. I must say, that I was very happy with most of the websites we faced at but one stood out to us and that was FamilyHomeSecurity.com. Their security system info was fantastic, eye opening and edifying. I wish they were a company that put in protection systems themselves because I know it would be done meticulously and with lots of attending to cleanliness.

What made it a deep experience? Well, we experienced a break-in 10 weeks ago that wasn’t very fun. Fortuitously, we were outside of town and they solely got jewelry and coins. Now there are small fry in the home and a mass more precious stuff like computing machines, electronics, and above all – family and family memories and pic. We simply preferred to find the foremost security system that we could all employ and feel fail-safe with. It was unquestionably time to find one this day.

So, how did I obtain the right home security system? We started up by looking ’security system’ on the search engines, then ranged nonstop entirely of the internet sites on the basic page. A plenty of them were trash…and I was sorry about that. Everybody I recognize says Yahoo is the easiest…in any event, later on searching through those web sites we couldn’t determine what we were waiting for. We didn’t wish a serious sales procedure and we didn’t want to guess lots about it. Nearly all of these internet sites were abrasive sales pitches – I wanted info!

Most of the corporations we considered were GE, Brinks, APX, ADT and Pinnacle. All of them look to habituate standardized home alarm systems…and we lastly ended up with a Pinnacle Security system after reviewing the serious info received at homesecurityguru and Family Home Security.

It’s nice to consider tremendous advisory internet sites out there on the matter of home security.

Enjoy the search for a great alarm system!

Good Communication Promotes Positive Feedback On Ebay

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009

Good communication is the key to encouraging your auction buyers to leave you positive feedback. Such communication also helps avoid most negative feedback on eBay.

1. Good Communication Prevents Misunderstandings

Good communication helps to avoid misunderstandings. For example, if surface shipping takes six to eight weeks but the customer doesn’t know this, he may expect almost immediate delivery. When such quick delivery doesn’t materialize, he may feel that he has been cheated or that your service is slow and poor.

Thus, try to spell out delivery time frames and other details as much as possible. Is your refund policy clear? Is your product clearly and accurately described in your auction ad? Does your product’s quality meet or exceed the expectations created by your auction ad?

2. Prompt E-mail Response

If, for whatever reason, your e-mail response is slow, the customer may assume that you aren’t delivering on your promises. Prompt e-mail communication can help reassure the customer and gives evidence of good customer service.

3. Encourage Queries

Basically, state in your auctions: “If you have any questions about this auction, please e-mail me.” If a person is expecting instant delivery of an e-book but instead you send him the information via the postal service, he might be disappointed. Nip all such problems in the bud by encouraging your prospective buyers to ask questions.

4. Ask for Positive Feedback

How can you encourage buyers to leave positive feedback for you? Simply state that you’ll leave positive feedback for them after you’ve received theirs.

Since they are leaving the feedback first, they will hesitate to leave you negative feedback, knowing that you may respond in kind. If you leave positive feedback for the buyer first, they may never return the favour.

5. Reversing Negative Feedback

With good communication, you can often avoid receiving negative feedback. Try to do everything that is reasonable to make your customer happy.

However, what if you do receive negative feedback on one of your auctions? What can you do about it?

Under certain, very limited circumstances (such as an extortion attempt), eBay might reverse negative feedback unjustly given to you. In most cases, however, eBay will not reverse negative feedback.

You can use eBay’s “Mutual Feedback Withdrawal” procedure. This is where both the buyer and seller agree to withdraw negative feedback from each other. Thus, the negative feedback will be removed from both of your total scores (thus improving both feedback ratings).

The negative comments themselves won’t be removed by eBay. However, your comments left in response to a negative feedback will also stay to tell your side of the story.

Yes, good communication can lead to more positive feedback from your auctions. Such communication can also help you to avoid and even reverse negative feedback. So, by all means, promote positive feedback on eBay through good communication.

You should only speak with the other members through the messaging system of the internet dating site. Once you feel more comfortable, you can choose to reveal your personal info and maybe even go out on a date. And if you do determine that the person you are talking to is a creep – and it is bound to happen – your personal data is confidential because you are applying the electronic messaging system of the singles dating online site.

2. If and when you do settle to go out on a date, I would unquestionably not have them come to your house for dinner or any other reason. Not a good idea! and No, you should not even make them pick you up at your house. You can figure out a place to meet so you don’t have to give out your address till you are more comfortable.

5. You probably shouldn’t booze on the first date. If you really have to – just have a few. And don’t have your date get your drink. Get it from the barman or server. And don’t leave your drink alone (like if you goto the bathroom).

6. You should make sure someone (roommate or friend) knows where you’re going or at least when you should be expected back. This way, if something were to happen, whether it’s an accident or something else, you’ll know that someone knows where you were.

By holding to these simple rules, you know some tips to keep yourself safe with singles online dating sites. Since you know that you will be safe – you can now have some fun when you go out on your date with your new online partner!

The Formula For Failure and Success

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

(Excepted from the book The Five Major Pieces to the Life Puzzle by Jim Rohn)

Failure is not a single, cataclysmic event. We do not fail overnight. Failure is the inevitable result of an accumulation of poor thinking and poor choices. To put it more simply, failure is nothing more than a few errors in judgment repeated every day.

Now why would someone make an error in judgment and then be so foolish as to repeat it every day? The answer is because he or she does not think that it matters.

On their own, our daily acts do not seem that important. A minor oversight, a poor decision, or a wasted hour generally doesn’t result in an instant and measurable impact. More often than not, we escape from any immediate consequences of our deeds.

If we have not bothered to read a single book in the past ninety days, this lack of discipline does not seem to have any immediate impact on our lives. And since nothing drastic happened to us after the first ninety days, we repeat this error in judgment for another ninety days, and on and on it goes. Why? Because it doesn’t seem to matter. And herein lies the great danger. Far worse than not reading the books is not even realizing that it matters!

Those who eat too many of the wrong foods are contributing to a future health problem, but the joy of the moment overshadows the consequence of the future. It does not seem to matter. Those who smoke too much or drink too much go on making these poor choices year after year after year… because it doesn’t seem to matter. But the pain and regret of these errors in judgment have only been delayed for a future time. Consequences are seldom instant; instead, they accumulate until the inevitable day of reckoning finally arrives and the price must be paid for our poor choices – choices that didn’t seem to matter.

Failure’s most dangerous attribute is its subtlety. In the short term those little errors don’t seem to make any difference. We do not seem to be failing. In fact, sometimes these accumulated errors in judgment occur throughout a period of great joy and prosperity in our lives. Since nothing terrible happens to us, since there are no instant consequences to capture our attention, we simply drift from one day to the next, repeating the errors, thinking the wrong thoughts, listening to the wrong voices and making the wrong choices. The sky did not fall in on us yesterday; therefore the act was probably harmless. Since it seemed to have no measurable consequence, it is probably safe to repeat.

But we must become better educated than that!

If at the end of the day when we made our first error in judgment the sky had fallen in on us, we undoubtedly would have taken immediate steps to ensure that the act would never be repeated again. Like the child who places his hand on a hot burner despite his parents’ warnings, we would have had an instantaneous experience accompanying our error in judgment.

Unfortunately, failure does not shout out its warnings as our parents once did. This is why it is imperative to refine our philosophy in order to be able to make better choices. With a powerful, personal philosophy guiding our every step, we become more aware of our errors in judgment and more aware that each error really does matter.

Now here is the great news. Just like the formula for failure, the formula for success is easy to follow: It’s a few simple disciplines practiced every day.

Now here is an interesting question worth pondering: How can we change the errors in the formula for failure into the disciplines required in the formula for success? The answer is by making the future an important part of our current philosophy.

Both success and failure involve future consequences, namely the inevitable rewards or unavoidable regrets resulting from past activities. If this is true, why don’t more people take time to ponder the future? The answer is simple: They are so caught up in the current moment that it doesn’t seem to matter. The problems and the rewards of today are so absorbing to some human beings that they never pause long enough to think about tomorrow.

But what if we did develop a new discipline to take just a few minutes every day to look a little further down the road? We would then be able to foresee the impending consequences of our current conduct. Armed with that valuable information, we would be able to take the necessary action to change our errors into new success-oriented disciplines. In other words, by disciplining ourselves to see the future in advance, we would be able to change our thinking, amend our errors and develop new habits to replace the old.

One of the exciting things about the formula for success – a few simple disciplines practiced every day – is that the results are almost immediate. As we voluntarily change daily errors into daily disciplines, we experience positive results in a very short period of time. When we change our diet, our health improves noticeably in just a few weeks. When we start exercising, we feel a new vitality almost immediately. When we begin reading, we experience a growing awareness and a new level of self-confidence. Whatever new discipline we begin to practice daily will produce exciting results that will drive us to become even better at developing new disciplines.

The real magic of new disciplines is that they will cause us to amend our thinking. If we were to start today to read the books, keep a journal, attend the classes, listen more and observe more, then today would be the first day of a new life leading to a better future. If we were to start today to try harder, and in every way make a conscious and consistent effort to change subtle and deadly errors into constructive and rewarding disciplines, we would never again settle for a life of existence – not once we have tasted the fruits of a life of substance!

To Your Success,

How to Publish a Book: Key Differences Between Publishing and Self Publishing

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

For many authors just starting out, it can be a confusing and overwhelming decision whether to self publish a book or to seek out a traditional publishing house. It is important to know that the decision you make can have a huge impact on the success, or the failure, of your book.
There are many factors to consider, and the right decision is going to be different for every author and for every book.

Here are just a few key factors and publishing tips excerpted from Idea to Book to Success to help you make the decision of exactly how to publish a book:

Time:

When seeking a traditional publishing house to publish your book, you will soon discover that the book will be published according to the publisher’s timeline. Publishing houses have a set production mandate and books are scheduled for publication far in advance. Often, books are signed on for publication one to three years before they are actually published.

When you self publish, the only timeline restricting the publication of your book is your own. You can take years to publish a book if you so choose. Or, if you work incredibly hard, you can have your book out on the market within months. You can take as much or as little time as you want or need to publish your book.

Control:

If you sign your book on with a publishing house, you must understand that it is now the publisher’s book. As a new author you will likely be conceding to the wishes of the publisher when it comes to book title, design and cover. Also be aware that the responsibility of promoting and marketing the book will fall on your shoulders as well once the publisher has finished an initial, brief promotional push.

When you self publish a book, YOU are the publisher. This means you are solely responsible for coordinating the entire production of the book. You must find an editor, a designer, a distributor, a publicist, etc. When you self publish, you are forming your own publishing house and you are now in the business of publishing. You maintain all control and you publish the book the way you want to publish it.

Profit:

A publishing house signs books under the agreement of payment by advance and royalties. You will be paid a small sum of money up front as an advance on sales, and subsequently you will receive royalties once sales grow over and above your advance. Royalties are usually very small for new authors and are often as low as 5% of selling price.

Profit is definitely the biggest argument in favor of self publishing. If you self publish, the profits from your book sales are 100% yours. If you are willing to work hard to market and promote your book, you will reap the benefits of the sales. If you research carefully, plan properly and execute the right marketing strategy, there is no limit to the profit you can earn from your book sales.

As with any other business, you must properly research and plan to fully understand how to publish a book in order to be successful. If you publish the right way, the potential for success and profit is infinite.
