Water in Your Diet

Thursday, April 30th, 2009

We get our water from many different sources. It is not as you’d probably expect, just a result of drinking water. Coffee and tea are beverages that contribute to our daily fluid intake, in fact they also get some nutrients (all be it, not many) into our diets as well. The important thing to note is that though it is fine to drink tea or coffee in moderate quantities, they should never be treated as a substitute for drinking water. Yes both hot drinks taste a bit nicer, mostly because they taste of something. Water is very tasteless, and can often have a some what metallic note. But, at least when you dink water, you know that the water’s natural goodness is flowing directly into your systems. You can also get very disgusting coffee that tastes of ashtrays. I won’t name the company, but it’s one which dominates the global market, and it is one that I loathe. There are re-used countless times, and most of the beverages they offer- all designed to make you put on weight- are essentially sickly sweet milk. I also dislike their mugs in which their drinks are served. Coffee should be sipped from a cup, with handle and saucer, preferably with a rounded edge.
